We’ve all been there, we’ve signed up to someone’s newsletter list, received the offer of a lifetime if we just download their new adsense/adwords ebook, pondered for a few days whether we can afford $47, $97 (what is the thinking behind those numbers?) and then have thrown caution to the wind and bought it just before the deadline (the product will NEVER be offered at that price again) to get the $2485 “value” in bonuses - I love that “value” word.

Now that we have the ebook of a lifetime and we have read the first few paragraphs we start to think to ourself that we have heard a lot of this stuff before and if it really does make you that much money why would you tell anyone? Anyway, we find the paragraph we have been searching for and quickly implement the idea on our website, blog, sales letter. What happens? Absolutely nothing because we have totally lost interest the moment we realised this wasn’t going to lead to a life of plenty!

What’s the point of this diatribe? You have to have a plan as in any business, be it online or off. To keep flitting between half finished projects (my favourite sin, well nearly) just gets you half baked results. Note to self - press on with the project you started to its conclusion. If it doesn’t work given some quality time, bin it and move on. Don’t fall for the hype.
